The Volvo S90 was first launched in 1997 as a 4-door and 4-seater sedan. The rear-wheel-drive sedan had two petrol engines with a 2,473 cc or a 2,922 cc displacement. It used a 6-cylinder in-line DOHC unit and came with a four-speed automatic or 5-speed manual transmission.

Moreover, the S90 sedan had 2 variants: SE and Royal. The royal variant came with a long wheelbase. The model produced 204 hp at 6000 rpm and 267 Nm torque at 4300 rpm. The S90 sedan had a top speed of 210 km/h and accelerated from 0-100 kph in 9.1 seconds.

Additionally, the S90 SE was equipped with lots of advanced features. Climate control AC, cruise control, power sunroof, and 8-way adjustable seats are only some of the examples. The vehicle also ensured comfort with leather seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. However, the Volvo S90 halted production in 1998.

This advanced system prevents any possible collisions with other vehicles, pedestrians or obstacles by reducing speed or stopping the vehicle.
